Jessica is a highly qualified professional with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Tarleton State University and finishing her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. Jessica boasts an extensive career within the public and private school system as a middle school science teacher, high school softball coach, and private educational tutor. Jessica is also a military spouse of 15 years and counting with tons of personal experience in the military lifestyle. Jessica has completed the required education and competencies necessary to be deemed ready to apply her clinical skills to working with clients. She receives ongoing guidance, evaluation, and education to provide excellence in clinical skills to you and your family members. Jessica is also pursuing her certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and as a Registered Play Therapist.
As a proud member of the Alpha Gamma chapter of Delta Kappa, the International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society, the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and soon graduate of a Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) program, Jessica is devoted to providing realistic therapeutic services to individuals of all ages, including children, teenagers, couples and families. Jessica believes in the power and potential of the therapeutic relationship and that positive change can be promoted even during the first session. Jessica uses methods from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT), and solution-focused approaches to ensure an effective and personal therapeutic experience for all clients. By using a compassionate and client-centered approach, Jessica’s experiences allow her to work with a diverse range of clients, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, challenges with communication, neurodiversity, childhood trauma, domestic violence, behavior management, emotional regulation, relationship dynamics, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
In addition to her extensive skill set, Jessica approaches therapy with understanding and sensitivity to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to navigate their personal healing journey and become their most authentic selves. No matter what journey of life the client is on, Jessica is dedicated to being the client’s road map by encouraging resilience and healing in her clients.
